In the morning I helped my Associate Teacher (AT) cut and staple some books together. I also learned about a new program that created a book and allowed for voice recording. Most of the day was spent prepping for the Liturgy my AT was in charge of that will be held tomorrow. My AT switched her duty to first recess. During recess I recorded some students saying what they were thankful for. During when math was supposed to be the students made Turkeys instead with a short six page story about shaking the Turkey’s tail feathers. Their teacher gave them a list of colours that it was okay to colour the Turkey with (Brown, Yellow, Pink, Red) but some of the students didn’t adhere to that. I found the students to be somewhat challenging during this time as some were throwing their pencils or cutting out their Turkey in such a way that it needed to be taped/stapled back together.
I also learned today that two of the students in the grade two class are moving and will be going to another school. That will leave the class at 13 students. The day ended after I stayed an extra half an hour after school helping my AT gather up materials in preparation for her Liturgy.
